Collection of manuscripts and publications by theoretical sociologist Kurt H. Wolff, dated from 1947 to 1996, including books, articles, draft manuscripts of a major work variously called "Book on the Story of Loma" or "Loma Culture Change", and other material. Box 1 contains ditto typescript "Book on the Story of Loma", ca. 1961; 2 draft typescript articles; part of a letter from John W. Bennett discussing one of Wolff's manuscripts; 4 books by Wolff (Transformation in the Writing, 1995; Survival and Sociology, 1991; Hingebung und Begriff, 1968; and O Loma! Constituting a Self (1974-1984), 1989); and other material. Box 2 contains 17 photocopied or mimeo typescipt articles by Wolff and others; a book by Wolff (Von Einhorn zu Einhorn, 1972) which includes many of his drawings; and a binder, approx. 400 sheets, of mimeo typescript "Selected papers in Sociology" by George Simmel, translated by Albion W. Small. Box 3 contains 24 offprints or photocopies of articles by Wolff; and a 360-sheet mimeo typescript "Loma Culture Change: A Contribution to the Study of Man" by Wolff, 1952. Box 4 contains an approx. 400-sheet mimeo typescript "The Sociology of Intellectual Behavior: a Survey and Appraisal of the Sociology of Knowledge", by Wolff, 1947.
